Add 1 St st to each row between last st & next to last st, making each short row 10 sts long as in Rows 9& 10.

Next Row (RS) P2, k1,….k1, p2. Cont in pats as established, and work the sts outside of pats as k the knit sts and p the purls sts until piece measures 5 inches/12.5cm from beg.
